Solar Helping Housebuilder Lead the Way on Zero Carbon
The agreement was first signed in May 2020 since when the housebuilder, which operates throughout Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire, has emphasised the low or zero carbon credentials of the family homes it develops. Its houses incorporate a range of energy efficient technologies including air source heat pumps, electric vehicle chargers, high levels of insulation and a generous provision of roof-integrated solar PV on the rooftop. Even better, every home with solar PV fitted since early 2022 has been fully zero carbon.
Newland Homes’ approach was recognised with ‘Best Sustainable Development’ at the WhatHouse? Awards 2023 for its site at St George’s Mead in Semington, Wiltshire.
